CompTIA Data+ is a vendor-neutral certification for early-career data professionals. It validates your ability to mine, manipulate, analyse and visualise data, apply basic statistics, and follow data governance and quality principles — skills that transfer across tools rather than being tied to one software platform.
The price depends on the package you choose. For CompTIA Data+, Profice offers Live course + exam and Self-Paced E-Learning + Exam. The "+ exam" packages include the official CompTIA exam voucher, official courseware, hands-on labs, a certificate and lifetime support. Current prices for your region are shown in the pricing panel on this page (prices exclude VAT).
The current exam is DA0-002, launched by CompTIA on 14 October 2025. It has up to 90 multiple-choice and performance-based questions, a 90-minute time limit and a passing score of 675 on a 100–900 scale. CompTIA recommends 18–24 months in a data analyst or similar role, with exposure to databases, analytical tools, basic statistics and data visualisation.
There are no mandatory prerequisites, but you will get the most from the course with basic computer skills, familiarity with spreadsheets, a grasp of fundamental database concepts and introductory maths — particularly basic statistics. Prior experience handling data is helpful but not essential.
Data+ is a good fit if you work with data in an analyst, reporting, marketing, business or operations role and want a recognised, vendor-neutral credential that shows you understand the full analytics lifecycle. It complements tool-specific skills such as Excel, SQL or BI platforms rather than replacing them.
