The price depends on the package you choose. For CompTIA Cloud+, Profice offers Live course + exam and Self-Paced E-Learning + Exam. The "+ exam" packages include the official CompTIA exam voucher, official courseware, hands-on labs, a certificate and lifetime support. Cloud+ is worth considering if you run or support cloud and hybrid infrastructure and want a vendor-neutral certification. Rather than focusing on one provider, it covers architecture, deployment, security, operations and troubleshooting that apply across platforms. Many professionals pair it with a provider-specific certification such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
Cloud+ is an intermediate exam. CompTIA recommends 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator or cloud engineer. The CV0-004 exam has up to 90 multiple-choice and performance-based questions, a 90-minute time limit and a passing score of 750 on a 100–900 scale. A good grounding in networking, virtualisation and storage makes preparation much easier.
CV0-004 is the current Cloud+ exam, launched by CompTIA on 24 September 2024, and it replaced CV0-003. If you are booking the exam now, CV0-004 is the version to prepare for; older CV0-003 study material may not match the current objectives.
Cloud+ supports roles such as Cloud Engineer, Cloud Administrator, Systems Administrator and Cloud Specialist. It is most relevant for professionals who already work with servers, networks or virtualisation and want to move into cloud operations. Job outcomes depend on your experience, skills and local job market as well as certification.
